Public Notice to Bidders
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre that
SEALED PROPOSALS for:
ROCKVILLE CENTRE POLICE STATION
Bid No. 2008PD1(995)
will be received by the Village of Rockville Centre Purchasing Department for the matter stated below. Bids must be received at the Rockville Centre Police Department, 34 Maple Ave., Rockville Centre, New York 11570 until 11:00 am prevailing time on September 24, 2020. Bids will be opened that day and read aloud in the Village Court Room. In accordance with Executive Order of the Governor of New York, the bid opening will be recorded, and the recording will be available on the Village website on September 25, 2020. The contract will be awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for:

Bid documents may be obtained beginning August 27, 2020.

Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the Specifications and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: VILLAGE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE, clearly and prominently marked on the outside:

Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Village of Rockville Centre, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. A Bid Bond is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section.
Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty- five (45) days after the formal bid opening.
A walk thru is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Potential bidders are asked to gather at 142 Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre and follow COVID mitigation guidelines: wearing a mask, and social distancing. This meeting is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended that all potential bidders attend/visit the facility. Please contact Kevin Reilly at kreilly@rvcny.us to confirm your attendance.

Award of Contract will be made in accordance with applicable provisions of the law. The Village reserves the right to split awards between multiple bidders or reject all bids or make such determination as in the best interests of the Village, as provided by law.
Federal equal employment opportunity and labor standards are applicable for all work performed under this contract. The attention of all bidders is called to the Environmental Facilities Corporation Addendum to the Contract Documents; compliance is mandatory. There is a 30% MWBE participation requirement for this project.
It is the intention of the Village to award the contracts to the lowest qualified bidder who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is in the best interests of the Village.
