The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the Village. We do this while observing the laws and regulations of the New York State Office of the State Comptroller as well as the Village’s Purchasing Policy.
For vendors seeking to do business with the Village, please note that the Purchasing Department requires quotes or detailed cost proposals for projects, and professional services. Purchasing contracts over $20,000, and Public Works contracts over $35,000 require the solicitation of sealed bids. All Sealed Bids are opened publically in the Village Courtroom, located on the second floor of Village Hall, on specific dates and times.
New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) Prevailing Wage Rates are applicable for Village projects and a Certificate of Insurance naming the Village of Rockville Centre as the co-insured must be received by the Purchasing Department prior to the commencement of all work.
All procurement is done with Purchase Orders issued by the Purchasing Department.
