Notice is hereby given by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre that SEALED PROPOSALS for:

ROCKVILLE CENTRE POLICE STATION

Bid No. 2008PD1 (954)

Will be received until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time on Thursday October 3, 2019 at the Village of Rockville Centre Village Hall, Purchasing Dept., located at One College Place, Rockville Centre, NY 11570.

A Compact Disc (CD) containing electronic files including the Contract Documents [Construction Drawings, Project Manual with Specifications, Agreement between Owner and Contractor, and the Conditions of the Contract (General, Supplementary and other Conditions)] may be obtained upon the deposit of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00), non-refundable check made payable to the VILLAGE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE, at the Purchasing Department of the Village, One College Place, Rockville Centre, New York during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

One full set of printed documents that are contained on the Compact Disc are available to bidders for a non-refundable purchase price of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Non-refundable checks for each set of documents are to be made payable to the VILLAGE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE. 

Bid documents may be obtained beginning Thursday, September 12, 2019.

Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the Specifications and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: VILLAGE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE, clearly and prominently marked on the outside:

Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Village of Rockville Centre, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract.  A Bid Bond is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section. 

Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty- five (45) days after the formal bid opening.

A pre-bid meeting and walk thru is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 19, 2019. Potential bidders are asked to gather at 142 Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre.  This meeting is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended that all potential bidders attend.

Federal equal employment opportunity and labor standards are applicable for all work performed under this contract. The attention of all bidders is called to the Environmental Facilities Corporation Addendum to the Contract Documents; compliance is mandatory. There is a 30% MWBE participation requirement for this project.

It is the intention of the Village to award the contracts to the lowest qualified bidder who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements.  The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is in the best interests of the Village.
