PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre that
SEALED PROPOSALS for:
PROPOSED HVAC REPLACEMENT AT VILLAGE HALL

CONTRACT G – GENERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK
CONTRACT H – HVAC WORK
CONTRACT E – ELECTRIC
will be received by the Purchasing Department of the Village of Rockville Centre for the matter stated below. Bids must be received at Room 204 of Village Hall, One College Place, Rockville Centre, New York 11570 until 11:00 am prevailing time on October 28, 2021. Bids will be opened at that time and read aloud. The contract will be awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for:

Bid documents may be obtained beginning Thursday, September 30, 2021. The contract documents, specifications and plans can be examined on the Village’s website at www.rvcny.gov. Follow the link to the Purchasing Department.
Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the Specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: VILLAGE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE, clearly marked on the outside: Bid For: PROPOSED HVAC REPLACEMENT AT VILLAGE HALL, BID NO. 2109CP1 (1018), and which contract(s).
Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see ‘Instructions For Bidders” section.
Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening.
A pre-bid meeting and walk thru is scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, October 14, 2021. Potential bidders are asked to gather at the main lobby at which time they will be escorted to the areas of work. This meeting is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended that all potential bidders attend.
All questions should be directed to the Purchasing Department. Please contact Lisa Strazzeri, Purchasing Agent via email only at lstrazzeri@rvcny.us. To be given consideration, questions must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bid.
It is the intention of the Village to award the contracts to the lowest qualified bidder who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is in the best interests of the Village.
