Village Infrastructure Update
Over the next several weeks – National Grid:
- National Grid will continue gas service transfers on South Marion Place/Rutland Road area.
- National Grid will continue gas main work in the Terell Avenue area.
- National Grid will continue final pavement restoration on the North Long Beach Road (Nassau County). This will be night work between @ 8:30pm to 4:30am.
- National Grid will begin gas main replacement in Fountain area and Berkshire Road beginning next week.
Over the next several weeks – New York State Department of Transportation:
- The NYSDOT will continue construction on a New York State project along Sunrise Highway. This work will include ADA ramp replacements, traffic signal loop replacements, crosswalk improvements, and a full mill and paving of the roadway.
Over the next two weeks – Village Projects:
- The Village contractor will continue work in the Reverend Days Playground. This work will consist of lighting infrastructure installation.
- The Village’s contractor will begin the Parking Field #5 Lighting infrastructure Project within the next two weeks.
- The Village’s Water Main Replacement Program will continue in the Cleveland/Driscoll Area with and water service transfers.
- The Village’s Road Program will begin in the Knollwood Area with miscellaneous curb removals and drainage work.
As phases proceed you will be notified accordingly. - The Village’s contractor will begin asphalt restoration on Randall Avenue and Parking Field #20 (next to Home Goods Shopping Center) starting July 13th.
Residents may experience temporary traffic delays, detours, and minor disruptions in these areas. Please use caution when traveling and follow all posted signage.
As always, all work is weather-dependent. The Village will continue to provide updates and notify residents whenever possible as work progresses.
